TV Globo - Brazilian Television Work

Popstar

Music reality show

“Popstar” is a highly anticipated annual music reality show exclusively produced by TV Globo. As a crucial member of the team, I played a pivotal role in crafting the program’s distinctive visual identity, including the logo, captivating animation opening, lower thirds, and the entire motion graphics package.

The demanding nature of the show required us to deliver more than 15 dynamic motion graphics for each singer’s live performance every week. To ensure seamless execution, I took charge of coordinating the daily deliveries, ranging from informative schematics to mesmerizing musical led screens. Our team thrived under the pressure of delivering all orders promptly, with each design completed and ready for the next day’s program.

Throughout my tenure, I had the privilege of collaborating closely with talented image and text editors, as well as directly engaging with Fátima Bernardes herself, the esteemed program directors, and supervising a team of two skilled designers dedicated to the show’s success.

Encontro com Fátima Bernardes

Morning interview & music show

“Encontro com Fátima Bernardes” is a dynamic and engaging daily morning program that combines thought-provoking interviews, live music performances, and discussions on a wide range of current topics. During my rewarding 4-year tenure on the show, I had the privilege of spearheading the program’s comprehensive rebranding efforts in 2014, encompassing the visual design, captivating motion graphics, and the physical set design.

As the driving force behind the program’s rebranding, I assumed the responsibility of creating and coordinating the daily deliveries, ensuring that every aspect, from informative schematics to captivating musical led screens, was impeccably executed. The tight turnaround time demanded all orders to be promptly placed and delivered, ensuring they were ready for the next day’s program.

Working collaboratively with talented image and text editors, esteemed host Fátima Bernardes herself, and visionary program directors, I played a pivotal role in translating the show’s vision into a visually stunning reality. Additionally, I had the honor of supervising a team of two highly skilled designers who shared the same commitment to excellence in their work on the program.

The Voice Kids

Music reality show for kids

I have had the incredible opportunity to craft the captivating visual concept and animation for more than 15 LED screens used in live presentations. Collaborating closely with another talented designer, we developed a comprehensive motion package that encompassed various elements such as lower thirds, seamless transitions, engaging micro-interactions, and much more.

Given that each presentation had its unique theme, our work extended beyond motion design alone. We engaged in seamless teamwork with the scenography department, ensuring that the stage design seamlessly aligned with the desired look and feel for each young participant. This collaborative effort allowed us to create immersive and cohesive experiences, enhancing the overall impact of the performances.

By seamlessly blending motion design with scenography, we were able to bring the stage to life, elevating the visual aesthetics and enhancing the storytelling aspect of each performance. It was an exciting journey that required creativity, coordination, and a keen eye for detail, ultimately contributing to the success and visual appeal of the show.

É de Casa

Weekend Morning show

“É de Casa” is an engaging and informative morning show that delights viewers with its interviews, delectable recipes, and valuable DIY tips. Airing every Saturday morning, it offers a refreshing start to the weekend.

During my involvement with the program, I had the privilege of contributing to its rebranding efforts, focusing on creating visually captivating assets and captivating motion graphics. This endeavor allowed me to infuse new life and visual appeal into the show’s overall identity.

From designing eye-catching visual assets that aligned with the program’s essence to crafting dynamic and immersive motion graphics, I played a pivotal role in enhancing the show’s visual language. By leveraging my expertise and creative flair, I aimed to create a cohesive and engaging visual experience for the viewers.

Through meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the show’s content and target audience, I strived to bring the program’s rebranding vision to life. It was an exciting opportunity to blend creativity, design, and strategic thinking, ultimately contributing to the show’s overall success and viewer engagement.

Jornal Nacional

Main Brazilian TV Hard News

Jornal Nacional, the flagship news program of TV Globo, holds an esteemed position as the leading and most decorated news media in Brazil. With an impressive 52-year run in the prime-time slot on television, it has earned numerous international accolades, including prestigious Emmy Awards.

During my tenure with the design team, I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the program’s remarkable achievement when it won the Emmy Award for news in 2011 for its coverage of the article “Ocupação da polícia no morro do Alemão.” It was a moment of great pride to be part of the team that contributed to such a distinguished recognition.

For a span of four years, I was an integral member of Jornal Nacional’s design team. This immersive experience allowed me to actively engage in the daily operations of the program. Participating in agenda meetings alongside the text and images editors, as well as the esteemed director and anchor, William Bonner, I played a crucial role in shaping the visual narrative of each news segment.

Working within tight deadlines, our team efficiently crafted designs that encapsulated the essence of each news story. With a limited window of approximately 7 hours, we meticulously designed graphics, illustrations, and layouts to complement the news content and ensure a visually compelling broadcast. Collaborating closely with a dedicated team of five individuals, led by an accomplished art director, we collectively contributed to the program’s visual identity and success.

Being part of the Jornal Nacional design team was an immensely fulfilling experience, as it allowed me to merge my design skills with the fast-paced world of journalism. It sharpened my ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and deliver high-quality designs that effectively communicated complex information to the viewers.
